It’s time to make April goals! It seems I’m developing a habit of doing everything but what I put on my goals list. I think I have a bit of squirrel syndrome & I really need to focus better! : D

Maker Stash Down

For the Maker Stash Down the main goal is simple – make from your stashes. There won’t be monthly challenges this year, more like monthly motivation. I’ll do a monthly blog post here on the blog telling y’all what my goals are, how I’m progressing, & sharing all my makes. Y’all will be able to share your progress in the Facebook group. It will still be a fun place to share makes & encourage each other’s progress. 🙂

Check out the links below to see my previous goals ~>

March’s Goals

So, I realized earlier today when I looked at last month’s goals I hadn’t done anything on my goals list. It seemed I was so busy & getting things done! The only things I did on the list for March was get two shirts hemmed out of the five I had to do. Here’s shirt #1 ~>

And here’s shirt #2 ~>

I did not manage to start on my Murder Mystery Quilt blocks, but I did start on the Luxe Faux Fur Cowl Kit from Lion Brand. There’s not really enough progress to share a pic though.

I decided to try to use up some yarn in a Mary Maxim kit I had. It’s velvet yarn in a pale pink & grey, so not really my colors. I had this Classic Stuffed Bunny pattern from One Dog Woof in my library & thought it was the perfect fit for the yarn.

It still needs a nose, but I like it! I also made the scarf pattern that came with the kit…

There’s still 2 skeins of grey & one pink left. I’ll probably make a grey bunny, which will leave me with one of each skein to figure out what to do with.

I also spent quite a bit of last week cleaning up & reorganizing. My yarn room {or my son’s old room} needed to be straightened up so he would have a place to sleep while visiting. Then I worked on my bedroom & even vacuumed under the bed. Don’t know the last time that happened!

April Goals & Projects

The schools in my state are going to be closed for the rest of the Spring semester. I will be doing “virtual” teaching until school finally gets back in session. That means for the next 2 months, I’ll be home just about 24/7! Since I’m going to have so much extra time, I decided to make my goals for April real simple ~>

See how many WIPs & UFOs I can complete!

I’m not going to list any certain projects for the month. I’m just going to make all month & see just how much I can finish!

I am very thankful to have my crafting to keep me busy during this time. Keeping my hands busy helps keep my mind from wondering. While we can’t do much about what’s happening right now, we can still make wonderful things. : )

How to Participate in the Maker Stash Down

For the Maker Stash Down, it’s more about making goals & meeting those goals. Goals related to creative endeavors, of course! For example ~>

  • I set some goals above for the month, which I will share in the group.
  • I’ll share my progress on my goals throughout the month in the group, with a recap at the end of the month here on the blog.

It’s really that simple! Join the Facebook group, share your goals, share your progress on your goals, & be entered to win a $20 Amazon gift card.

I don’t want anyone to feel intimidated by this. Your goals are your goals, it’s not a competition. It’s about being in a space that you can feel encouraged to flex your maker muscles! Setting goals is the first step in motivating your maker mojo. It gets those creative juices flowing!

Now, this is a stash down, so you are encouraged to work from your stash of supplies. I realize not everyone has a large maker stash to work from & I don’t want to leave anyone out. That’s why I’ve based it on creative goals & not just decreasing the stash. 🙂

Happy making y’all!
