Valentine History

Valentine’s Day is like most modern holidays – a mixture of past celebrations that becomes so tangled no one’s sure why we do the things we do to celebrate! I think y’all may be surprised about some of the origins of this day of love.  Check out the links below for a Valentine’s Day history lesson.  ; )

Valentine Posts

Last year I did several posts for Valentine’s Day crafts, decor, & recipes.  Just in case you missed them, here’s a recap!

If you’re looking for an easy supper today {or anyday!} this Sesame Sweet & Sour Chicken with Faux Roasted Broccoli & Lo Mein is one of my families favorites.  I included a look at my Valentine mantel at the end of the post.  <3

You can find out how I made the metal stitched heart on the mantel by clicking the link or the picture below.  I made the flower from paper towel tubing & there’s a similar one in this post.

Need a sweet for your sweetheart?  This red velvet cupcake recipe should fit the bill!  I know I wish I had one right now! : D

Ever wonder what to do with all those Valentine cards?  I made this card memento binder to hold some of the ones my husband and I have collected over the years.  This would work for any greeting cards you want to save.

Valentine Clicks & Free Printable

I used this love in 30 different languages post from Quizlet as a reference to make this printable.  You can check the link for pronunciations & word origins.  Some of them were spelled the same, but pronounced differently, so I have a few less than 30 on the printable.  ; )

The Language of Love Printable ~ Just click on the image below to print.  {You can also print the first image in the post in case you liked it too!}  Feel free to share, just link back to the original post please!  Happy Valentine’s Day ya’ll!  <3
