Finishes, WIP, and Things to Come

This year has flown by!  Here we are, mid-September, with the holidays right around the corner.  I have been busy getting decorations done for fall, working on gifts for Christmas, and still keeping up with everyday madness.  Today I’m going to show you some finishes, WIP, and things to come.  Maybe it will inspire you to do some handmade gifts or decorating!

Finishes

First off, I’ve been doing some pattern testing for Fandom In Stitches.  The patterns I’ve been testing are by designer Angela Gross for Warehouse 13.  Just look under the SyFy/Fantasy tab and find Warehouse 13.  Mine are the ones with the dark purple background.  {This is a show that used to be on the SyFy network.  Just in case you didn’t know, I’m a little bit of a geek!}  Anyway, you should check them out!

These are all part of the Holiday Stashdown CAL over on the Underground Crafter.  This is a great one for Christmas gifts!  They have many different projects, so you can make them all or just what you like!

Sky and Sunshine Bag pattern by Crystalized Designs ~> This one is great for using up leftover yarns, which is exactly what I did!  I crocheted until one ran out and then started the other.

Dew Drop Necklace pattern by Stitches ‘N’ Scraps ~> I decided to not add beads and crochet this continuously rather than break and attach to the center.  I also forgot one of the segments which is why it’s offset!  I think I might give this another try with a different yarn.

Mermaid Dream Boot Cuffs pattern by Creative Threads ~> I really like the color of this yarn!  Boot cuffs make great gifts for teenagers!

Arabella Boot Cuffs pattern by Kaleidoscope Art ‘N’ Gifts ~> These are from a heavier yarn and a burgundy color.  It’s a little hard to tell in the photo!

WIP – Works In Progress

These are some things I’m working on.  I will not show you all of my WIP’s, because I think I have crafter ADD!  There are probably way too many WIP’s in my studio right now, but I just can’t resist adding more!

Remember the leggings I made into yarn?  Well, I wanted to make a basket out of it, but I’m coming up short!  I will have to cut up some old t-shirts to finish it out.

This is a baby blanket that I’ve been working on in-between everything.  I can only sew on it for so long before my arms wear out!  If you follow me on Instagram, I post progress pictures there.  The baby is already here, so I gotta get it done!  If you’re reading this, baby’s mother, I promise to have it to you by Christmas! {See finished quilt here}

I’m hesitant to call this a WIP, I’ve only picked out the fabric!  This is for the MOD Bear Paw QAL over at Sew Fresh Quilts.  Just look at that pattern!  It’s so cute!  I’m planning on a blue background, with the floral for the border, and a white (polar) bear.

I’m crocheting a pumpkin farm!  These are some in progress and some I’ve finished.  I plan to have some with more fall colors and some for Halloween.  The free pattern is over at Cynthia Banessa’s blog, if you want to try it out.  The best part is, you get different sizes by just changing the yarn weight!

This is what most of my work table is covered in right now.  I’m working on sprucing up my fall decor.

Things to Come

Since I’m working on fall decor, there will be more DIY decoration posts coming soon.  The cheese box below is something my parents gave me many eons ago.  I refinished it once, but It’s not really working for me anymore, so it’s time for a redo!  I’m planning on turning the lid into a reversible sign and the box into a shelf.  Stay tuned!  {See makeover here & here}

This old window is another redo a redo(?)  Anyway, I had a puzzle glued to the backboard and words on the window.  I didn’t glue it down very well and things started falling apart.  This is for my mom, so if you’re reading, I haven’t forgot about it!  More to come, don’t want to spoil the surprise!  {See makeover here}

This little cutie was made by the original Teadoddle, my mema.  It did have two kittens that snap onto the side.  I’ve had this as long as I can remember, which is from about the age of 2.  I want to recreate the pattern, so I can share with all of you!

Whew!  Did that make y’all tired?  I think I need some more coffee!  There’s one more thing I want to tell you before I go.

Ok, I’ve got lots of crafting to do, so I’ll see y’all back here on Friday!  Have a great day!
