A Blossom Mandala
First I need to say I had the wrong hook sizes listed for the sock weight and for the worsted weight. The correct sizes for the sock weight are listed in the pattern here and in the PDF. The correct hook size for the worsted weight is listed below the larger mandala picture. Hope this doesn’t cause anyone issues!
This month’s mandala is more in between an easy repeat and complicated. There’s just enough change at certain points to keep it interesting! I wanted it to look like a blossom opening.

Somehow I lost the written pattern for this month and next month. I had the mandala’s made, I just cannot find where I wrote it down! Luckily, I was able to look at what I had made and recreate it with a few tweaks.

As a reminder, the original pattern is written for sock weight yarn. I’m using Lion Brand Jeans yarn for the larger mandalas. This is a #4/worsted weight yarn and I’m using a 4.5mm/7 hook {corrected hook size!}. This month’s larger mandala was made with the color Top Stitch. Each mandala uses between 1.6 and 2 grams of yarn. All the sock weight yarn is mini skeins from Southern Skeins from my previous club.

Check below for previous month’s patterns & check out my YouTube channel for the latest video.
Progress so Far
Here’s a look at the mandalas together for the sock weight yarn. These will be joined into a free form scarf at the end of the CAL.

These are the worsted weight mandalas so far. These will be squared up and joined into an afgan at the end of the CAL.
