This morning I took my son to school for his last first day of high school!  He’s a senior this year and I am so proud of him!  It was a little bittersweet because I know he will be headed to college soon and I will be missing him so much!  Okay, enough before the tears come!

Another first for me, is part of my finish list too!  I finally finished the Happily at the Abbey shawl which was part of a MCAL that ended a little while back!  It’s the first shawl I’ve ever done!

More Finishes

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen some of these already!

First up are two items that are part of the Holiday Stashdown CAL on Ravelry.  There’s something different every month to help get those gifts done for Christmas!  I only have two done so far.

Next up, squares from the 2016 Afghan Sampler CAL over at Hodgepodge Crochet.  I have them all finished, I just need to sew them together!  I will probably be adding a backing because of the open work crochet.  Not sure about the layout yet, but I did 1 of each square and 1 bonus for a 4×7 blanket.

I made this basket with the Moroccan Basket pattern from Moogly.

And I used the leftover yarn to make this “scarflace” by me!  It is similar to the Triple Thread Headband pattern, just using single crochet in place of the slip stitches.

Finally a pillow using the pattern from Melody’s Makings Veronica Meets Spring MCAL on one side and recycled blue jeans on the other.
