It’s been 3 years since I did this challenge. I started it as a way to work through all the maker supplies, UFOs, and WIPs I’d accumulated over the years. It was also a way to meet other makers and see all of their awesome makes. Here’s how it went in previous years:

This year will be fairly similar, but I’m determined to really keep up with my goals. I noticed looking back on the previous posts, there’s still lots of things that just did not get done. It’s okay, cause it’s a new year and a new chance for more making! Here’s a breakdown of how to participate in the challenge:

  • I’ll be posting monthly blog posts with my goals for the month and finishes from the previous month. You can share your goals and finishes in the Teadoddles Makers Facebook group.
  • Share your goals and finishes each month to be put in a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card. This will be a random draw from the people that participate.
  • Since this is a Maker Stash-Down all crafts are included! If you made it, it counts. If you have questions about posting something, just let me know.

So, that’s basically what’s happening each month. Pretty awesome, right? I’m so excited to see everyone’s goals and makes! : D

February Finishes

February wasn’t as productive for making as I had hoped. I didn’t really get maker mojo back until the middle of the month and I’m hoping to make up for that in March. I’m doing things a little differently in March, which you will see in my March Goals section.

I finished sewing the SUE Blouse from DG Patterns {now called the Sue Woven Top} and even did a couple of tutorial videos. You can find those in my Sewing Clothing Tutorials playlist.

I’ll be doing a wrap up video for this top to talk about a few issues I had and show y’all how it looks on me.

I got my quilt block for February sewn, just need to quilt it. My next mini square pack is already picked out!

Managed to stitch up two of the mini embroideries I wanted to get done, but I didn’t get to start on the cross stitch. There’s one more in this set to do. I’m thinking I’ll sew it into a wall hanging and add more embroidery.

This little crocheted cactus turned out so cute! I have this Crocheted Succulents book and I now I want to make some more.

While this is not a finish, I did get about halfway through my one-skein scarf…

Not as many things as I hoped to get finished, but still progress!

March Goals

This month, I have a whole week off for spring break – yippee! That would be this week and it’s already Tuesday. I plan on just making and seeing what I get done, so I’m not adding any pictures to this section. Here’s my list for some maker spring cleaning:

  • Make a dent in my in-progress pile for shop bags
  • Finish my small clothes sewing projects, like repairs and dying
  • Sort fabric and put some more scraps in the shop
  • Spend plenty of time crocheting {maybe some knitting} while watching fun things
  • Get some videos and blog posts done
  • Enjoy my time off!

In conclusion, I’m looking forward to making this month! This week off will be the perfect time to get my maker mojo going in full gear.

I hope y’all will join the Maker Stash-Down and have fun connecting with other makers in the group. It’s really fun to see what everyone’s making and you never know what you might see. All makers are welcome so, if you know a maker, invite them to join in the fun!

  1. This challenge looks like a lot of fun. We all accumulate so much stuff and so many half finished projects. Looks like you are really getting to grips with it all and getting all the things done!
