Leisure Arts has a whole line of Mini Maker kits they introduced, I believe, earlier this year. I’ve been eyeing them since they came out! I received an email with an opportunity to receive one for free to do a review & I said “yes, please!” There are many different types of kits to choose from, which I will talk about below. I opted for the Mini Maker Falling Leaves Embroidery Kit because it was giving me all the fall feels! I also did a YouTube review to go along with this blog post & it will be linked below.

Mini Maker Falling Leaves Embroidery Kit

The Mini Maker kits from Leisure Arts range in price from $3.99 up to $19.99. Most of them revolve around the fiber arts, but there is one for paint pouring. The kit I chose is $6.99 & it comes with everything you need to make the project shown.

Out of the package it’s packed nice & neatly with the instruction booklet right on top.

All of the floss colors you will need are looped around a stiff paper board. It seems fairly durable & I will be saving it for other projects. It’s hard to see, but there’s also a needle taped to the floss card.

The pattern for this kit comes printed on a piece of organza. That was another reason I decided to try this one! I’ve never done embroidery on organza before & I like the see-through aspect it gives between the embroidered parts.

The printed image is nice & bold which makes it very easy to see. I really like the hoop that came with this as well. It’s nice & smooth for a wooden hoop, unlike some I’ve had before that were a little rough. Inside the instruction booklet you’ll find written instructions as well as diagrams for the stitches. They also give you finishing instructions for keeping the embroidery in the hoop once it’s complete.

More Mini Maker Kits & Final Thoughts

All in all I really like this kit! I’m looking forward to stitching this up & hanging it up on my wall. Although it will most likely be well past fall before I get the chance to! These kits are a great way to try something a little new without investing too much money. They would make great gifts & stocking stuffers for crafters. I myself am eyeing some of the other embroidery kits & I’ve always wanted to try paint pouring!

You can find several different kinds of Mini Maker Kits over on Leisure Arts website:

  • Embroidery kits {$6.99 to $9.99} – These come with the image printed on fabric, felt, or organza, a hoop, needle, & floss to complete the project.
  • Felt kits {$5.99 to $14.99} – There are several felt cacti kits & one felt flower wreath kit.

  • Pom-pom animal kits {$3.99} – Choose from a bunny, a fox, & a bird!
  • Macrame kits {$6.99} – A plant hanger & a wall hanging are available. The plant hanger even comes with a neat arrow shape to hang it from!
  • Other craft kits {$14.99 to $19.99} – You will also find a unicorn dream catcher kit, a knit hat kit, & a paint pouring kit.

I hope y’all enjoyed the review & I would love to know what you think about the kits, so let me know in the comments. Also, check out the video review I did on my YouTube channel if you’d rather hear me talk about it. Have a great weekend y’all!
