Time to see what I’ve been up too in between blog posts in July 2018! Y’all, I’m editing this to mostly links & less talking because there is a YouTube podcast to go along with this. That’s where you’ll see all the talking! This month is exploding with maker goodness, so get some coffee & a snack & a comfy chair & maybe put on your comfy pants. Let’s dig in shall we? : D

I’d like to welcome all new subscribers – I’m glad to have you here! In case you didn’t know, there’s a page with FREE adult coloring printables available only to subscribers. You should have received a password with your welcome email for this month. I have recently added two new drawings & will be sending out a new password on July 30th. I try to put up at least one new drawing each month. Sometimes I’m an over achiever & put up more. ; )

Be sure to check out my new YouTube channel! Most of the videos I have planned will be maker/crafter related, but I do have plans for some non-craft related videos & the schedule is below. Life Events

So I took the week of July 4th off & I really enjoyed it! I didn’t get near as much done as I’d hoped, but it was nice to have time off. My dad & I did go visit my son in Atlanta – just for a day. We timed it just right both ways & hit very little traffic. I took this picture just as we were getting into downtown Atlanta. The fog made it look like a hidden city!

We found a nature park with trails not too far from where my son lives. My dad took a nap in the car while we walked the very shaded trails & explored. There was even a creek!

Our last visit on the trip was to Village Burger. They have egg custard ice cream & I enjoyed mine in the form of a root beer float. Delicious!

Crafty News

My #100dayproject on Instagram has really fallen to the wayside! I fully intend on finishing it, but I don’t know when it will be done. You can check it out by looking up #100daysofteadoddles on Instagram.

Somehow, some way, I missed the start of the 100 Days 100 Blocks Tula Pink QAL! I’ve been planning to do this for months & I was just so bummed I missed it I decided not to participate. My Tula Pink stash will just have to wait for something in the future.

I’ve opened a Craftsy shop but it has nothing in it yet! I’m planning on moving my patterns for last year’s Merry Christmas Sew-Along to the shop. That has yet to happen, but I will share links when it does!

I finally sent out the quilts for A Doll Like Me! Amy, doll creator extraordinaire, sent me a message on Instagram that she had received the quilts. One has already gone to a new owner & she sent me a pic of the doll with the quilt. Awesome!

Sewing News

The Merry Christmas Sew-Along is in full swing! I released the 1st ornament on July 9th & I’ve already seen some awesome makes in our Facebook group! Be sure to check out all the details on the Merry Christmas SAL page.

Finishes

I’ve managed to finish up a couple of sewing items, but most of my sewing time was spent on the Baby Clothes Quilt {link below}!

Boardwalk Skirt from Go To Patterns {Free pattern at the moment & fabric is from Joann’s many moons ago!}

High Low Shirt from Melly Sews {Free pattern & fabric is from Girl Charlee many moons ago!}

WIPS

This month I hope to finish up these WIPs in my stash:

  • Fix my finished pants so I can wear them! {see them in the video}
  • Handstitch the hems in this lingering UFO! {challenged myself to do this before the #fabricmartphotoaday challenge is over, so by August

Upcoming

  • I’m planning on doing a summer tree, but I’m waiting on this Cotton & Steel ombre fabric from Hartland Quilt Shop. It will ship when my fat quarter pre-order comes in.
  • My dad was cleaning out his closets & I snagged this corduroy blazer. I’ve got plans for a fun refashion, so stay tuned! {The fabric is from Craftsy when they used to sell apparel fabrics.}

New Purchases

I have found so many deals for fabric this month! You can check out my Fabric Haul Video for all the details.

Here’s my newest set of mini charm packs from the Mini Charm Pack Club.

Wish List

This one is technically not on the wish list anymore since I have it pre-ordered. Hopefully it will be in my hands by the end of August!

Okay I had an epic experience with Hobby Lobby’s yarn clearance & you can hear all the details in my Yarn Haul video.

I have another, much smaller, yarn haul video coming up on Thursday.

Wish List

Like I need more yarn, but…

  • I’m loving this Comfy Cotton Blend yarn in the Enchanting Embers colorway. Maybe a cardigan or sweater?

DIY News

Nothing to show for finishes or WIPs in this department! My dad did help me make some pegboard frames for a class project, but I don’t have a pic. I almost melted y’all, because it was so hot!

In case you missed it ~>

Upcoming

I found these knobs & vintage comic “W” in Hobby Lobby’s clearance section. I’ll be using the rest of my barn wood {like I used in my beauty station} to make some cool coat hangers. The comic book stuff is for a project for my son.

New Purchases

New rolling cart for beside my thinking chair!

I also got a new storage container that I love for my beads. You’ll have to check out the video to see it because I can’t find my picture – boo!

Wish List

Really, I’m just wishing for some cooler weather so I can do some bigger DIY projects! : D

Okay y’all, this was a little shorter, but it’s only once a month anyway! Be sure to check out the video that goes along with this, so you can find out more about what you saw. By for now!
