This morning I made a special trip to the next town over to pick up my Happy Planner items. I wound up going to Michaels & JoAnns to get everything I needed & I was so excited to bring it home & start planning! Like I said before, I’m a planner nerd! Let me just say I was not disappointed in these products. I can tell they will be the perfect thing to help me stay on track. Of course, they are nice to look at too! I’m going to share what I got & talk a little bit about them in this post. You can watch my first “wildcard” podcast Saturday to find out more! : )

I just want to state that I’m not affiliated with The Happy Planner, I just really like it! These products are produced by me & my BIG ideas & you can find them in a variety of places. I’ve seen them in JoAnns, Michaels, Wal-Mart, & on Amazon. I’ll be linking to the products on JoAnns & Michaels {not affiliated} because that’s where I purchased my products.

Planner Bliss!

Based on the plan I laid out in Wednesday’s post, I needed 5 disc-bound planner/notebooks for everything I wanted to do. I want one main planner for my calendar & 4 notebooks for each type of craft. To be able to add my special printables, I also needed a punch for disc-bound planners. I got all of that & saved over $100 today – yes! : D

Originally, I was going to get a classic paper punch that goes with the The Happy Planner. It retails for $29.99, but I had coupons! When I was in Michaels, I found this interchangeable punch board on the clearance isle for just $14.97, originally $39.99. I love this because I can use it for disc-bound, ring bound, or spiral bound notebooks. Awesomeness!

For my main planner, I picked up this “life is beautiful” kit at JoAnns. I just love the saying & the gold details!

This planner is fully loaded with monthly & weekly layouts and divider tabs, all unlabeled. They call this a “memory keeping big box kit” which is why it has sections for “favorite moments” &” what we celebrated”. I really like that because this will be my main planner to keep up with all parts of my life. The kit also came with some sticker sheets, month labels, & two rolls of washi tape.

I’m really looking forward to using this because I can change things out easily & really make it my own!

Organize All the Projects!

I went to Michaels before JoAnns because they had the 2017-2018 Happy Planners for 50% off. My thought was that I could still use most of it – the book & dividers – even if the calendars were outdated. I was also able to use my 25% off coupon from JoAnns, so I got a total of 75% off of two kits! Then I realized the calendars are from August 2018 to July 2019, which means they are still useful. Crazy!

This kit said it was for a “student”, but there’s still plenty I can use from it.

The second kit I picked up said it was for a “teacher”, which I am!

I goofed up a little bit with these kits because they are the smaller planners. I have a plan to make my 8 1/2″ x 11″ printables still work & I’ll share that in Saturday’s podcast.

For the final two notebooks, I picked up two Happy Planner Happy Notebooks for $12.99 each. Except I used 40% off coupons on both, so $7.80 for me! One has lined paper & one has dot grid paper. Here’s the one with the dot grid paper ~>

There are 3 tabs & 60 sheets of paper in each notebook.

This is the lined notebook ~>

And the inside ~>

The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that these are the only two designs in the larger notebooks. They had tons of designs that I loved but they were the smaller size. I’m still “happy” with my Happy Planners! : D

Here’s a break down of what I spent ~>

My grand total for the day is $77.08 with $103.90 saved – whoopee! Being that most planners run anywhere from $30 to $50+ for just the planner, I think that’s a great deal. I technically got 3 planners, 2 notebooks, a punch, & extras for that price.

Now, I’m off to record a podcast & then I’ll be having a planning party! What are y’all doing this weekend?
